Early Help describes any help on offer for children, young people and families - examples include parenting groups, play & activities groups, youth groups, emotional health and wellbeing, communication, and language and much more.
The help on offer can vary a lot. Many services will provide information and advice to help families. This can be given face to face with you on your own with a worker or with other parent/carers as part of a group. They may also help families find ways of working through problems.
There is early help available for parents, carers, children, young people, or whole families.
ALL Early Help is voluntary – which means that you do not have to agree to take the help if you don't want to. There is lots of early help in your area which may be at schools, health centres, children’s centres or through charities, faith groups and other organisations.
